Marine Safety: Essential Offline Tools for Sailors

At sea, the only thing you can trust is your own knowledge and gear. Explore HAVEN's Sailing & Marine Safety mode for offshore emergency procedures and first aid.

The HAVEN team

When you're miles offshore, the margin for error is slim. A medical emergency or a mechanical failure can quickly escalate. HAVEN's Sailing & Marine Safety mode (currently in lite mode) provides the critical knowledge you need when the radio is your only link to the world.

Built for the Blue Water

Sailing mode focuses on the high-stakes scenarios unique to the marine environment:

  • Man Overboard (MOB): Instant access to recovery protocols and search patterns.
  • Distress Signaling: Detailed guides on using flares, EPIRBs, and VHF radio.
  • Marine First Aid: Specialized guidance for injuries common at sea, from severe burns to near-drowning.

The AI Navigator

Our on-device AI is tuned for seamanship and marine survival. Ask it:

  • "How do I prep the boat for a sudden gale?"
  • "What are the steps for an emergency engine repair?"
  • "How do I treat a jellyfish sting or marine infection?"

Training and Scenarios

Sailing mode includes a dedicated marine training path and a "Sailing Lite" scenario. These help you and your crew practice emergency drills before you leave the dock.

A Note on Charts

HAVEN Sailing is currently a "lite" mode. While it provides extensive knowledge and AI support, it does not yet have integrated marine charts. We recommend pairing HAVEN with a dedicated charting app like Navionics for navigation, while using HAVEN for your safety and survival protocols.
