HAVEN is no longer just for survival: meet the 7 modes
We've expanded HAVEN beyond survival into off-grid living, backcountry adventure, overland travel, international tourism, sailing, and hunting. Same offline AI engine. Same one-time price. Seven new ways to use it.
From a weekend hike to a global crisis, HAVEN works when nothing else does. That's been our promise from day one. Today, we're finally delivering on the second half of that sentence.
HAVEN launched as a survival app. Nuclear fallout, EMP attacks, grid collapse, SHTF events. We built it for the worst-case scenario and didn't apologize for it. That core is still here, unchanged, and it's still the best offline-first emergency preparedness app available.
But the same capabilities that protect a family during a nuclear crisis also protect a hiker without signal, a homesteader in a power outage, an overlander in remote terrain, a traveler who just lost their phone roaming connection, a sailor 30 miles offshore, or a hunter 8 miles from the trailhead. The offline AI works. The maps work. The library works. The supply tracker works. Regardless of why you need them.
So we built modes for all of it. Six new ones. Here's what each looks like.
Off-Grid Living
Your offline brain when the cabin loses signal. Off-Grid mode tunes HAVEN's AI context toward homesteading and self-sufficiency: water sourcing, solar systems, food preservation, emergency repairs. The supply tracker gets preset for long-haul coverage. The library leads with illustrated homesteading, water, and food preservation guides. If the grid goes down for three days or three months, Off-Grid mode is calibrated for it.
Adventure & Backcountry
The offline AI in your backpack. Adventure mode focuses on wilderness medicine, terrain assessment, and remote emergency protocols for hikers, climbers, and backcountry explorers. The home screen surfaces maps, plant ID, and environment scan first. The AI context shifts toward altitude, injury, and navigation. Download your region before the trailhead and you're covered without a single bar of signal.
Overland & Vehicle Travel
When the next gas station is 200 miles away. Overland mode is built for expeditions and vehicle-based remote travel. The AI focuses on vehicle recovery, mechanical diagnosis, river crossing assessment, and campsite selection. The supply tracker presets for an overland kit. Maps download entire route regions before you leave. If the rig breaks down in a remote canyon, this mode gives you the protocols and knowledge to handle it.
International Tour & Travel
Offline maps, language, and safety, in 16 languages. Travel mode addresses the real international emergency scenarios: lost passport, medical emergency abroad, civil unrest evacuation, and navigating a foreign system when you don't speak the language. The full HAVEN UI already runs in 16 languages, so asking the AI or reading a guide happens in your language. Maps download before you fly. No roaming, no SIM, no Wi-Fi needed.
Sailing & Marine Safety (lite)
When the radio is the only thing you trust. Sailing mode covers offshore emergency procedures, man overboard protocols, distress procedures, marine-specific first aid, and seamanship knowledge. Full scenario, AI system prompt, training path, and curated books are included. One important note: HAVEN Sailing is currently lite mode, we don't yet have marine chart integration. We recommend pairing HAVEN with Navionics for charts. Marine chart support is on the 2027 roadmap.
Hunting & Field Naturalism (lite)
Offline field guide and AI for the backcountry. Hunting mode covers field dressing, game care, plant ID, wilderness first aid, and backcountry navigation. The AI context shifts toward field operations and backcountry knowledge. Plant ID is fully included. One note: the dedicated animal identification model isn't built yet. We recommend iNaturalist for wildlife ID. That capability is on the 2027 roadmap.
On the price increase
Pro went from $14.99 to $24.99. We want to be direct about why.
Each new mode includes a full scenario, a training path, an AI system prompt, a curated book set, and a supplies preset. We added six complete lifestyle expansions for a $10 increase. That's not a subscription, it's a one-time payment that now unlocks everything we've built and everything we'll build for these seven modes.
Family Plan went from $24.99 to $34.99. Still one-time. Still five members. Still no subscription for any core feature. At $7 per person for lifetime access to all 7 modes, it remains the best value in offline preparedness.
If you purchased Pro before the increase, you keep everything you already have, and you get all six new modes at no additional charge.
Same promises
Same offline-first promise. Every core feature runs on-device. No internet required for any mode, any scenario, any AI conversation, any map, any library content.
Same Crisis Unlock policy. During a declared national emergency or verified catastrophic event, all Pro features unlock automatically for every user at no cost.
Same no-account, no-tracking ethos. Free users give us nothing. Pro users give us one payment. No one gives us their data.
Try the new modes, pick what fits your life.
